Bio

I am a Five Element Traditional Acupuncturist and a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council. I graduated with Distinction from The Acupuncture Academy after completing its three-year, BAAB-accredited Professional Licentiate programme, and I am a member of The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). Before training in acupuncture, I qualified and practised as a medical doctor in Brazil for 20 years, specialising in Endocrinology and Metabolism and completing a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences. My clinical experience included caring for both paediatric and adult patients, as well as teaching undergraduate medical students in two medical schools. Through my Chester-based practice, AcuZen, I bring together my strong Western medical knowledge, the wisdom of Chinese medicine and a warm, compassionate approach to care. I have a particular interest in supporting children and young people through gentle, age-appropriate treatments, including acupuncture, acupressure and non-invasive techniques. I aim to create a calm, reassuring space where every child feels safe, heard, and supported as an individual.
